The North American Prospects Showcase (NAPS) has been one of LGS Hockey’s longest-standing and most high-profile events of the summer calendar. A series that has featured the likes of future NHL superstars like Connor McDavid, Aaron Ekblad and Max Domi, NAPS regularly serves as breeding ground for the game’s next group of talented players. The East Coast event at NAPS-Beantown crowned six new champions after a challenging and exciting weekend of hockey.

Coaches’ Choice won the 18U Division championship with a 3-2-0 record. After losing their first two games of the weekend, CC won its final three games including an 8-4 win over top-seeded East Coast Canadiens in the finale.

In the 16U Division, the New Hampshire Knights allowed just four goals against to earn a spot in the championship game. There, they defeated Team Maryland to finish the tournament with a 5-1-0 record and four shutouts.

The 15U Division was decided with a 2-0 shutout by NorthStar Elite, capping off a perfect 7-0-0 weekend record. Four of NorthStar’s seven games were decided by two goals or less in a tight 16-team division.

Scoring a tournament-high 41 goals, the Junior Bruins won the ‘05 Division with a 4-2 win over Boston Hockey Club. The Bruins scored four-or-more goals in six games, propelling them to a 7-0-0 record.

The Junior Bruins also took the ‘06 Division championship, allowing just five goals against in seven tournament games. During the three-game playoff, the Bruins outscored opponents 7-to-1 with the lone goal coming in a 3-1 win over the Junior Blues in the championship game.

In the ‘07 Division, the Boston Jr. Blues edge out Team North America 3-2 to win the championship. The win finished the tournament with a 4-1-0 record as the Junior Blues defeated every team in their division.
